Description
My teenage years from 1959 to 1969 were an endless parade of old vehicles that quickly wore themselves out and, we thought, would serve our needs perfectly as newly licenced captains of the streets. In an effort to give them a few more months of life we used wired and clamps to stem the leaks and heavy coats of house paint to cover the rust. Especially in Fords. This watercolour is a fair recollection of an attempt to bring my old 56 Ford to life, or at least make it look that way. This was 29 Beuna Vista Avenue in Agincourt, Ontario, Canada in 1960 and that is Howard Crompton and Larry Leigh helping me with the new jello yellow paint job.
