The first function of a window in the new world of 1605 was to let in light while keeping out the snow. Finely pounded leather from the beasts of the bush served to enlighten our explorers in the dark of winter.

Until recently I have been living and traveling within the extraordinary geographic boundary of Costa Rica and Nova Scotia, Canada, where I have drawn and taken pictures of some pretty nifty spots. My primary focus with my visual efforts is to find balanced, textural material that will evoke a story or a feeling of peace within the viewer and from time to time examine our social and personal conflicts with provocative, introspective images.
