A series of SHORELINE images from 2005 which represent the deep mystical qualities of this unique peninsula of blue rocks jutting into the Atlantic Ocean near Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. The deep ultramarine blues contrasting with ochre tinted sea weed frames the haunting image of a lobster trawler moored in the bay.
About William OBrien
Until recently I have been living and traveling within the extraordinary geographic boundary of Costa Rica and Nova Scotia, Canada, where I have drawn and taken pictures of some pretty nifty spots. My primary focus with my visual efforts is to find balanced, textural material that will evoke a story or a feeling of peace within the viewer and from time to time examine our social and personal conflicts with provocative, introspective images. In recent years I have put more energy into my drawing and painting, both digitally and with various colour mediums such as pencils, pens and acrylics, using 10 years of photographic material as reference content.
