Near a pile of decaying pines this beautifully formed Bolete fungus was just beginning its' decline. The swirling stem supports a cavalier cap standing proud among the mosses.

Until recently I have been living and traveling within the extraordinary geographic boundary of Costa Rica and Nova Scotia, Canada, where I have drawn and taken pictures of some pretty nifty spots.
